Allotments and community growing: the impact of Part 9 of the Community Empowerment Act - Access to land

The difficulty that communities experience in accessing land for growing is clearly an enormous barrier. In any future reviews of the Act the Committee asks that the Scottish Government explores whether the provisions of Part 9 could be extended beyond local authority owned allotments to other sites, such as those offered by other bodies (for example NHS) or to private allotment sites.
