As I said in my previous answer, we want to protect jobs that are already there and allow existing businesses to survive and thrive in a new low-carbon world. I think that, in response to a question from Colin Beattie, you mentioned a £26 million innovation challenge fund.
The operational performance improvement plan has driven the progress that we have seen this year. The latest statistics show improvements in new out-patient, in-patient day-case and diagnostic waiting lists and activity.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S4W-17158 by Shona Robison on 26 September 2013, how much it has provided for each year from 2007-08 to 2014-15 for work on race equality, also broken down by organisation.
The Bill will establish a Commissioner for Older People in Scotland (“the Commissioner”), whose general function will be to promote and safeguard the rights of older people.
The Programme for Government in Scotland 2022-3 announced a Public Health (Restriction of Promotions) Bill and noted “the Bill will include provisions for restricting food and drink promotions to protect public health”.
It is important to understand that the working time regulations allow that for junior doctors the reference period over which the average of 48 hours a week is to be determined is a 26-week period. That is why we are so keen—and why we monitor—that the working time regulations are kept to.
