In order that we do not just say no to that key ask, what can be done to reassure you so that we can work towards transferring those powers to local authorities?
The published Social Security case transfer policy position paper sets out our approach to transferring existing benefits from the DWP to Social Security Scotland.
The question would be: at what stage do we measure the amount of money to transfer? Is it at this point in time or at the point at which the new benefit or power would transfer?

An evidence session with the Minister for Children, Young People and Keeping the Promise and Bill Team officials was held on 3 May 2023.
