To ask the Scottish Government how many households have access to food waste collections. The latest figures are from September 2015 and can be found in Zero Waste Scotland’s report: How Much Food Waste Is There in Scotland?
However, it is not yet clear how effective the provisions set out in the new regulation will be. There is no additional funding for Trading Standards to enforce the new regulation.
Civil servants have stated that even with the cancellation of the See Hear Strategy refresh, the definition of deafblindness work and guidance will have a new policy home and continue. We hope to see guidance and clarity on new contact soon.
Looking further ahead, early findings from our analysis of the five year financial projections (FYFPs) submitted to us by Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) in May show significant reductions in the number of RSLs that will be building new homes and in the number of new homes that will be built.
