The member has provided the following translation: Que le Parlement félicite Peebles et Hendaye célèbrent 20 ans de jumelage Que le Parlement félicite Peebles et la ville française d'Hendaye à l'occasion du 20ème anniversaire de leur partenariat de jumelage; note qu'une charte a été signée à Peebles le 20 février 1998 pour établir un lien entre Peebles et Hendaye, située dans la région basque du Sud- Ouest de la France; soutient les principes qui sous-tendent les accords de jumelage de villes entre les communautés écossaises et d'autres pays de l'Union européenne; se félicite de la contribution apportée par les accords de jumelage dans le développement de liens sociaux, culturels, sportifs et éducatifs à travers l'UE, et souhaite le plein succès de l'association de jumelage Peebles- Hendaye pour les vingt prochaines années de son partenariat avec Hendaye.
