26 October 2022: The Committee agreed to refer the petition to the Rural Affairs, Islands and Natural Environment Committee for consideration as part of their work on inshore fisheries issues.
The scheme is administered under a resolution of the House of 26 May 1999, as amended by a resolution of 23 March 2016, and consolidated and updated by the Members Estimate Committee.
We now have a number of funds in operation—for example, the production growth fund—and the latest figures show an increase of £26 million in production spend, which is up to £92 million or £95 million.
