One of the main issues that we are determined to tackle in Scotland is the low uptake of the DWP funeral payment, particularly when it is devolved to Scotland. When the funding is transferred to Scotland, it will be based on the spend in Scotland during the year before transfer, so we know that the resources transferred will not meet current need or our desire to increase the reach of the benefit.
