In her response to the recommendations, the First Minister endorsed the overall vision of a new human rights framework for Scotland to be delivered by a new act of the Scottish Parliament.
In addition the Senedd has said that the legislation “represents a new restriction on the ability of devolved legislatures to effectively implement new laws in areas of devolved competence.”
The run-up to the 26th conference of the parties—COP 26—has helped that focus. The recent countdown to 26 event, which was run across all the innovation centres and Scottish Enterprise, brought a huge amount of focus to that.
