On the issue of payroll deduction, I do not think that anyone has mentioned the fact that the national health service has a credit union. I do not know whether other public services also have credit unions.
John Mason: To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to the Glasgow Centre for Population Health and Joseph Rowntree Foundation report, Building Connections: co-locating advice services in general practices and job centres.
What more will the Government do to ensure that those services are protected? I recognise the vital importance of those local services to our communities.
The Committee considers it vital that this work to de-clutter the funding landscape and minimise the burden of applications under the islands programme continues.
The Committee agreed to issue a short call for views before formally considering the instrument on 26 November 2025.

In addition, the Bill established the Scottish Food Commission to keep progress towards meeting the good food nation ambitions under review and to advise, inform and assist the Scottish Ministers and relevant authorities with meeting their plan objectives.

It was understood that COSLA’s Barriers to Elected Office Special Interest Group would be considering next steps in respect of SLARC’s wider recommendations.
Following this, the Scottish Government is required to lay a Climate Change Plan, which the Cabinet Secretary said would be done before the end of this parliamentary session on 26 March.
The Committee led the Parliament’s cross-committee scrutiny of the draft Plan.
