We are equipped with an abundance of natural resources, and universities and industry can provide opportunities to lead and break new ground, improve productivity, create new businesses and open new markets at home and around the world.

I will add a couple of points to the cabinet secretary’s comments. First, when I visit the boards of our island and rural communities, I am struck by the fact that they are at the forefront of attempts to innovate, to work differently and to bring new ways of delivering services to their communities.
