I was pleased to hear about the real difference that the new system in Scotland is making when I was on one of my most recent visits to Forgewood community centre in Motherwell.
In defence of the decisions that have been made, I would say that the latest audited figures show that 43 million visits were made to libraries in Scotland and the actual usage of libraries has increased in recent years.
