(S6T-02081) The most recent set of results from Scotland’s schools shows that, for national 5 and higher, the attainment gap has returned to levels that are broadly comparable with those in 2019—which, due to changes made during the pandemic to qualifications requirements, is the last comparable year on record.
If we look at the situation in relation to the most recent year for which we have a full year’s figures, we see that there has been a reduction in delayed discharge compared with the period that immediately preceded the Covid pandemic.

We would expect organisations to make decisions about their service provision within the relevant legal framework, including use of the single sex exceptions where provided for in the Act and where this is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.
Basically, it is the total change in the borrowing outlook at the five-year horizon now, compared with what we forecast back in March—how much more the Government will be borrowing by the time we get to the middle of the decade, compared with what we thought back in March.
