First, I will follow up on one or two points that Professor Evans made. In answer to Murdo Fraser, you made the point that decisions were made quicker during Covid, and that that was generally a good thing.
The mix of trainees that we had at the point when the table in paragraph 26 was produced changed from the mix that we had when the previous table was produced.
We believe more support is needed to enable vulnerable and digitally excluded groups to access justice and that the best way to mitigate these potential detriments is through channel choice.
The most important thing for us is to do our job as independently and effectively as possible, so we have the trust of parliamentarians. Ultimately, that is our best defence. They are our best stakeholders and the biggest supporters of the work that we do.
