To do this we need a strong economy, underpinned by a vibrant labour market. We will today (26 August 2016) publish Scotland’s Labour Market Strategy, to sit alongside our Economic Strategy.
The framework contains mode and user-specific targets that focus on our priority areas, including pedestrians. In the 2025-26 financial year, the Scottish Government has invested a record £48 million in road safety, alongside significant investment in sustainable and active travel programmes to promote pedestrian safety.
