According to the National Records of Scotland, women living in the most-deprived areas are, on average, expected to live 25 fewer years in good health than those in the least-deprived areas. For men, it is 26 years. That is a public health issue.
On average, households with children that are among the poorest 10 per cent of households are estimated to be £2,600 a year better off in 2025-26 as a result of Scottish Government policies.
