A Committee report was subsequently published on 26 September 2025 in which the Committee indicated it was content with the majority of the powers conferred on UK Ministers and Scottish Ministers in the BilliAs regards the power in new section 86B(3) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, inserted by clause 100 of the Bill (then numbered clause 89), the Committee noted that the definition of qualifying premises was key to the new provisions regarding notification by registered sex offenders proposing to enter premises where children are present.

Risk assessment meetings were held by ScotRail on 26 May 2017 at Greenock Prison, and on 31 May at Corton Vale Prison with a view to 2 offenders ready to commence work placement during June 2017.
