A secured creditor will be entitled to a limited right of compensation against a motor dealer who transfers a vehicle in a way that means that, under this section, it is transferred unencumbered by the pledge. 174.
Note that these are the requirements where intimation rather than registration is used to legally transfer ownership of a claim. The Bill does not include any formal requirements for intimation to a debtor for the purpose only of making them aware that ownership of their obligation has changed hands.
Section 3 of the Scottish Crown Estate Act 2019 allows Scottish Minsters to transfer the management of Crown Estate assets to certain persons or groups such as a local authority, Scottish Harbour Authority or a community organisation.
