Will it be about how long it is taking to transfer the devolved benefits to Social Security Scotland, and will it maybe thank the DWP for agreeing to continue to administrate some benefits in the meantime?
(S6O-05366) The Scottish Government has published an estimate, provided by the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, of a £240 million increase for local authorities in Scotland in the 2025–26 financial year, following the UK Government’s hike in employer national insurance contributions.
We value culture in all its forms, which is why we increased the culture budget by more than £34 million in 2025-26 as part of our commitment to an additional £100 million per year by 2028-29.
Since 2010, more than 11,000 empty homes have been returned to use, including many across the greater Glasgow area. In 2025-26, we will invest a further £2 million through the partnership to support local authorities in accelerating the pace of that work.
