I said in response to Wendy Alexander's question that we will look at the particular long-term point in relation to forecasting, but we make the best judgments that we can, in policy terms, on attracting new people to Scotland and encouraging expatriate Scots back to Scotland.

There has also been better enforcement by the police, who have run campaigns to make people more aware of the issue, particularly at the festive times of Christmas and new year. More recently, we have seen the police trying to encourage people to report people whom they suspect of drink-driving so that action may be taken.
