To allow it to have a clearer understanding of the implications for IJBs as part of its 2025-26 pre-budget scrutiny, the Committee calls on the Scottish Government to share with it the findings of the impact assessment of in-year adjustments to the 2024-25 Scottish Budget referenced in the Finance Secretary’s Pre-Budget Fiscal Update on 3 September.
They responded that it “relates to the certainty of the timetabling” and “will ensure that we have a predictable timetable from the point at which secondary legislation is introduced.”
The Committee provided its comments which raised these concerns on 26 February 2018. The Scottish Government made commitments to amend in responses submitted to the Committee on 1 and 2 March 2018.
