Commencement regulations are not subject to any Parliamentary procedure. Section 26 – Short title 200. Section 26 provides that, if enacted (in 2026), the short title of the Act which will result from the Bill will be “Children (Care, Care Experience and Services Planning) (Scotland) Act 2026”.
Subsection (2)(ba) of section 3 further amends section 57 of the 2014 Act to provide that, for the purposes of Part 9 of the 2014 Act, a local authority which is not certain of a person’s age but has reasonable grounds to believe that a person is aged under 26 is to treat the person as aged under 26. 48.
