I would like to know whether there is a possibility of procuring expert opinion from an academic in the field, who might be able to advise us as to the other options that might exist, should the Executive not be prepared to consider new legislation. I agree with what Michael Matheson has said.

At the next meeting of the Executive's Cabinet, does the First Minister intend to discuss the very welcome announcement by the Inland Revenue this week to bring 500 new jobs to West Lothian? Does he acknowledge that the Inland Revenue will have made that decision on the basis of the excellent and high-quality work force that is available in West Lothian?
