As I said, asbestos was finally banned in 1999, but in theory we will still be getting new cases in 2059. It is estimated that by 2015 there will be 3,000 new cases a year.
As far as we were concerned, a practical exercise had been done about how two new units could be co-located. Normally, people celebrate health service developments because they bring new jobs and facilities.
The forum should be one of the cornerstones of our new Scottish politics and I hope that we are serious about supporting the concept of participation and promoting and facilitating public engagement with the work of the Parliament.
