To ask the Scottish Executive whether the targets for delayed discharge apply to geriatric patients and units for the care of elderly people. The new targets apply to allpatients delayed unnecessarily for more than six weeks in any hospital setting.Additionally, no patient should be delayed at all in short-stay beds by April 2008.

To ask the Scottish Executive what assessment it has made of the impact on wards for the care of elderly people of the targets for delayed discharge that apply to other areas or departments. We have set challenging new targetsin order to free up valuable hospital beds.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish the report dated September 2004 by Turner and Townsend, project management consultants for Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), evaluating the four tenders received for the new SNH headquarters in Inverness. This is an operationalmatter which is the responsibility of Scottish Natural Heritage.
To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body what plans it has to make the new Parliament building smoke-free. Smoking will not bepermitted at any time in any area within the Parliamentary campus except inRoom MG.25 which is the designated smoking area for use by Members, their staffand parliamentary staff.
