To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has been involved in any discussions in which it was decided that East Ayrshire Council should subsidise the wage costs of new employees at HM Prison Kilmarnock.

The Scottish Executive has no such plans. If the local authority or the new National Park Authority had proposals these would be subject to approval from the Scottish Executive.
The funding is a contribution towards the start up costs for the new barrier free refuge. It will help pay for the specialised furniture and fittings necessary to provide access for the disabled.
