In response to the report of the expert panel on school meals, "Hungry for Success: A Whole School Approach to School Meals in Scotland", the Executive has provided £57 million over three years to allow local authorities to develop healthy meals. We have also published new nutrient standards for school meals and detailed mechanisms for monitoring them.
