There is an interest in Scottish current affairs, but even Her Majesty's inspectorate of schools recognises that there is not enough knowledge in schools.Programmes such as "Newsround", which is a children's news programme, have no Scottish agenda whatsoever.

That is something that we wish to maintain.As far as monitoring the incidence of TB is concerned, I am pleased to see that the Executive is funding the Scottish Centre for Infection and Environmental Health in its enhanced surveillance of TB in Scotland. That new scheme was introduced in January this year.

I expect to take forward its key recommendations to ensure that we improve access to airports, as we did only two weeks ago through the new service linking passenger rail services from the north of Scotland via the Inverkeithing airport link, which is now running regularly.
