Once an asylum seeker becomes a refugee, that person is at risk of homelessness, except if the refugee is in local authority housing when they are given 14 days to find new accommodation. Many refugees do not have access to English classes or to proper support, and so do not speak good English.

We do not yet police check our volunteers, but all our new recruits in swimming clubs now go through that full recruitment process.
