Does the minister agree that, in recognition of Glasgow's award as European city of sport, the Executive should now take an early decision on the siting of the planned new national indoor stadium for sport and football, which should be in Glasgow?
I would be keen to know whether the minister intends to meet the new chief executive more frequently to progress action that would benefit Scotland's natural environment.
Improved capital investment and improved maintenance of public services in Scotland are not simply about ensuring that the amount of money that we spend each year goes up. When we build new buildings and roads and develop new projects, we must ensure that we maintain them properly.
We have not solved all the problems and there are enormous challenges ahead, but when one considers that we are seeing the biggest hospital building programme in a generation and investment in new staff and better pay, it is clear that the NHS is moving forward.
(S1O-3083) The Executive has already made progress in locating public sector jobs outwith Edinburgh by establishing the Food Standards Agency Scotland in Aberdeen, by establishing the enterprise and lifelong learning unit in its entirety in Glasgow and by setting up the new public guardian's office in Falkirk.
