There are a lot of objections to specified provisions in the bill, rather than to the whole bill, which I rather think we will have to consider if and when we get to the consideration stage. I find it difficult to see that those who are objecting to the whole bill have a legal standing.

In those circumstances, will it not be a matter for people other than members of the Standards Committee?

I do not quite understand how Historic Scotland gets to the point that it reaches in the final paragraph of its letter of 17 November to Mr Wilson, because I understood that Stirling Council was on the point of disposing of the building.
