To ask the Scottish Government what percentage of vehicles in each local authority bus fleet are low-emission, and how this compares with each of the last five years.
As we have discussed previously with David Wallace, the initial uptake was higher than planned, but my understanding is that uptake now stands at 67 per cent compared to 93 per cent for child benefit, although I know that those two benefits are not directly comparable.
It is easy for that to happen when an employer is sifting through paperwork that discloses a record or other relevant information and compares that against someone who does not have a record.
Somebody suggested that the commitment should be raised from one industry school visit a year to six visits a year. The YESC network is predominantly industry funded from across Scotland.
Thankfully, travel on buses and coaches is comparatively safe for children. However, the statistics show that young people travelling on those vehicles are sometimes injured, and it is right that we bolster our approach.
