It was always almost certain that there would need to be a public local inquiry into the proposals for the A80. I can update Parliament with the news that the draft orders for phase 1—the Mollinsburn to Auchenkilns section—which were published at the end of 2003, have attracted statutory objections from those with a direct land interest.
