The rules also apply to other committee work, such as fact-finding visits. The condition that was not met at our previous meeting was number 3, which is that a member can substitute only for a member of the committee.
One of my constituents wrote to me last night. She visited the Newcastleton site recently, because campaigners throughout Scotland have linked up strongly on the issue.
Although we will hear grand words and all the rest of it from others, I want to hear from the sharp end about the delivery of funding. In the past four months, I have visited three of the seven FE colleges in my region.
