The petitions raise very real issues that must be considered. However, I should point out that the campaigners in Ayr had a physical victory, because South Ayrshire Council stuck to the planning guidelines and refused the planning application.Notwithstanding that, there is no question but that the three petitions have highlighted a real problem.
