They can also seek a warranty in respect of a new house: the Government has encouraged the sale of new houses to be accompanied by warranties, such as those provided through the National House Building Council.
In the new year, there will be Scotland-wide publicity to encourage everyone who will be eligible for the scheme—card holders and non-card holders alike—to apply for a card.
On the face of it, I see no reason why local firms should lose out under the new set-up, but I will take that up with VisitScotland and will be happy to communicate to Mr Fraser the outcome of those discussions.
Homeless People (Edinburgh) To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions there have been with City of Edinburgh Council about its new housing system for homeless people.
