Green campaigners have said that the latest move—we have just heard about it—by the Scottish National Party-Green coalition, which delays the scheme, “demonstrably represents the end” of dualling the A96.

Some stakeholders expressed their disappointment that such a review is not further forward. The Committee recommends the new Scottish Government, at the start of session 7, confirm its intention to undertake this review and then bring forward legislation.
