The Executive already monitors internet access and usage through the Scottish Household Survey and surveys conducted by the Office for National Statistics.Eurostat, the European Union's statistical information service, is currently developing recommendations on household and individual take-up and usage on the internet.

I have asked Mr Tony Cameron, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service to respond. His response is as follows:As confirmed in the written answer to question S1W-20333 on 28 January 2002, the sale price of the former HM Prison, Penninghame was £275,000.
We welcome the close partnership which exists in Scotland between the NHS and the hospice movement, as it ensures that a comprehensive range of services is in place in response to patients' needs.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will make a commitment to cancel the appointments of the current team of Independent Assessors to oversee the ministerial appointments to non-departmental public bodies and initiate another selection process, based on the new procedures for their selection as set out by the Deputy Minister for Finance and Public Services on 15 January 2002 to the Local Government Committee, should these procedures be adopted.
