To ask the Scottish Government, regarding the potential impact on Scotland's finances, how much it estimates will be raised in increased taxes in Scotland in 2025-26 as a result of the UK Autumn Budget.
But should the Bill become law, careful consideration will need to be made in partnership with COSLA and ADES regarding monitoring of provision of the new statutory entitlement. Any new national, regional or local approach to data gathering for this purpose will need to be fully scoped and costed, and clarity sought on how any new approach was to be funded.
That is a real worry for us. Our latest survey, in mid-July, suggested that none of the museums that responded to the survey that were open were running at a profit.
However, I think that more discussion will be required about the transition to net zero and low-emission zones because, obviously, buyingnew vehicles is going to be a huge burden.
It is important that we remember such events, lest they become lost in the cycle of violence that sadly plagues the region. The latest violent clashes serve as a reminder of how volatile the middle east is.
