To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to amend extant legislation concerning the management and creation of allotment sites. Local authorities are best placed to assess the needs of their communities and develop policy on the provisions and management of allotments.
We expect to see collaboration between the City of Edinburgh Council and other councils in the delivery of its city vision and city growth fund allocation. The best mechanism for this is for the councils to determine.

To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions there have been regarding passenger railway provision in the area between Dunblane and Perth. Local authorities are best placed to identify local public transport requirements and to take any resulting projects forward.

Local authorities and head teachers are responsible for determining a class organisation which best suits the circumstances of individual schools, including the formation of composite classes where this is considered necessary.
