To ask the Scottish Executive whether Audit Scotland is required to comply with the principles of Best Value. The duty of Best Value will be extended across the public sector by spring 2002, including Audit Scotland.
It captures much of what we believe to the very best aspects of the country: it is a majestic, proud and confident species that chooses to live among the grandeur of the rugged mountains, craggy glens and beautiful lochs that make up the wilder places of Scotland.
In addition, we would like the Public Petitions Committee to consider whether the best way forward for the petition is to refer it to the Environment and Rural Development Committee.
We have agreed, through the partnership, that this is the best way forward, in that it will get all forms of local taxation, and the effects that they have on Scotland, out on the table.
Has CCPS assessed how many younger disabled adults pay for personal care in Scotland? How can the Executive best address that issue in the bill? We have not done that work, but we think that someone should.
