We will continue to be guided by the evidence in assessing any continued risk from COVID-19 and take into consideration any new evidence linking the development of other conditions, such as type 1 diabetes in children, to infection with COVID-19.
However, I have looked at the most recent reports that have come out and spoken to our members, and the lack of engagement shines through as an area that requires improvement. A majority of the latest reports on the deals contain no reference to women whatsoever in their summations.
The ESN are already scoping for the next joint training opportunities likely to take place in the 2025/26 year. In terms of barriers to working and engaging with other public bodies or services, we have sought ways to address these through our communications strategy and 5 indeed wider strategic plan.
There is some concern about the fact that section 26 of the Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Act 2003—which relates to reporting—is being repealed and some confusion about what the new process will be.
