Will you continue to support existing projects over a number of years, rather than introduce new projects? We are introducing new projects because we have just gone from having a budget of £1 million to having one of £5 million.
We are fully engaged with organisations in the public sector in continuing to review new models and new ways of funding. A lot of research is being done on new partnership structures that will involve local authorities much more directly in their projects.

Such directions require the approval of the Scottish Ministers. The Scottish Ministers may also promote Article 4 Directions for any area that they may specify.
For example, I and my colleagues from the youth committee are doing a schools visit in Chryston on 7 November. There will also be a schools visit in South Lanarkshire towards the end of November, although I cannot remember the exact date.
What would be the Executive's reaction to such a system? It is possible to devise new systems. The Executive does not suggest that it has a monopoly of wisdom in that area.
