To ask the Scottish Executive how many visits the Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service has made to each local prison establishment since his appointment.
As I come from the private sector, I am much more accustomed to having the actual spending figures for three or four years, to allow one to see the trend of actual spending, not what might or may have been. We then had a best estimate of where we were in the current year and then the budget.
We will be looking to finish at the end of October, or at the latest, the beginning of November. Obviously, that will be dictated by the number of people we call to provide oral evidence.
The publication of the guidelines will raise awareness among professionals of best practice. The NOS has ensured that the guidelines fully reflect the patient's perspective.
To ask the Scottish Executive what guidance ministers have issued to schools regarding the facilitation of recruitment and other visits by members of the British armed forces.
