Does he think that it is reasonable that supermarkets should be able to boost their profit margins by requiring suppliers to take price cuts or to meet the costs of promotions such as buy-one-get-one-free offers? Also, does he share my concern that the unfair farm-gate price for milk is threatening the existence of our dairy industry?
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995, which is reserved to Westminster, protects disabled people from discrimination in employment, access to goods, facilities and services, the buying, renting or selling of land or property and education.
An enterprise economy is the key to generating wealth, sustaining high employment and ensuring good-quality public services. To grow new jobs and new skills, the new Scotland requires stability, investment in education, the development of new technologies, greater innovation and a business tax environment that is supportive of business development and growth.
The report sets out the key areas of work and has various statistics and details of visits undertaken. We divulged one or two of those statistics to the Legislation Committee of the National Assembly for Wales via videolink earlier this morning; we mentioned the large number of bills and SSIs that we have dealt with.
