To ask the Scottish Executive how much was spent by the Scottish Tourist Board and visitscotland in promoting cruise ship visits to Scotland, in each year since 1995.
On behalf of the committee, I ask the minister again, along with his colleagues in his parliamentary group, to accept the amendment and the best intentions that have been offered by the committee.
The new GP contract will offer patients more choice, better quality of care, new ways of accessing services and greater access to services in the local community.
As I come from the private sector, I am much more accustomed to having the actual spending figures for three or four years, to allow one to see the trend of actual spending, not what might or may have been. We then had a best estimate of where we were in the current year and then the budget.
I reinforce the point that the committees are acknowledged as the places where the real work of the Parliament is going on and where the principles of the new politics at work can best be seen.
