The Executive is in discussion with landlords and the Association of British Insurers to ensure that there are appropriate insurance policies available, and that these are properly promoted. The Executive is working to ensure that proper planning takes place to prevent such flooding emergencies where this can be achieved.

To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to promote enterprise in Fife. Scottish Enterprise Fife is taking action in line with the direction and priorities set out in the Executive's A Smart, Successful Scotland.
I know from my contacts with the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland that Chief Constables are well aware of their responsibilities to promote and improve race equality within the Scottish Police Service and are taking steps actively to encourage the recruitment police officers from black and minority ethnic communities.
