Its purpose is to merge the two shell bodies of Strathclyde Passenger Transport Authority and Strathclyde Passenger Transport Executive.The Transport (Scotland) Act 2005 fulfilled commitments given in the white paper "Scotland's transport future" to bring a new approach to the delivery of transport infrastructure and services in Scotland.
Several questions on the bill have arisen, many of which concern not the policy, but the procedure and the way in which the new powers that are to be vested in the Scottish ministers are to be exercised.
As I explained yesterday in relation to related amendments 23 to 26 and 29 to 31, in bringing planning controls to bear on the Crown new provisions were needed to accommodate the Crown's particular responsibilities.
A formal protocol might be necessary in future. I hope that the conveners will get together and ask the Presiding Officer to put such a protocol in place.I do not think that we will get any further in our attempts to obtain information for the inquiry; we have probably got as far as we can.

I am not sure whether the Roman fort is a battle site or how relevant it is to the original question, but the matter is being actively considered and I will write to Mr Fraser with an update on the latest progress.
People are offended, as are many other arts companies that now believe that Scottish Opera can spend and get funding for what it likes. That is irresponsible and wrong.
