Of all the options, moving in the summer recess is by far the best one. I heard what you had to say about the working group that is drawing up plans on how we should celebrate the opening of the new Parliament building.
The targets are set out for us, but it is difficult to assess whether those targets are the best way to measure whether aspirations are being achieved.
I welcome the opportunity to plug the consultation, which closes on 26 February, and I invite people to respond because their comments will help us to shape the bill.
Having read the Executive's letter dated 26 September, I have concerns. Basically, it has taken four months to arrive at the conclusion that that the status quo is sufficient.
That is a view that I think is shared by the Scottish people. At the start of this new Parliament, the best way to ensure stability and consistency in government is to look at what unites the parties in this chamber, not at what divides them.
We are very conscious of the Scots language and what the group has said about it. Perhaps Ian Máté is the best person to tell you what we are doing about it.
