To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is taking any initiatives to decrease the promotion of food and drinks which could contribute to the development of diabetes.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will direct or encourage Scottish Trade International, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and other such bodies promoting Scotland to actively market Scottish Knowledge.
The proposal to have a single funding council was first promoted by the National Union of Students Scotland in the early 1990s and it was first promoted in the Parliament by the Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Committee in its report on lifelong learning.
We want to achieve a dynamic in the system that allows new work, new companies and new approaches, whether in the area of equalities or in new and cutting-edge areas.
As I said earlier, six or seven commissioners have visited Scotland this year. During such visits, various discussions take place—they are not here just to see the castle.
