To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has a preferred location for a new service station on the M77 between Malletsheugh and Fenwick once it is completed.
Amendment 306, by agreement, withdrawn. Section 26 agreed to. It is my intention to adjourn the meeting for 10 minutes, to give people a break before we move on with our business.
We are looking to provide older people with the services that they need, when they need them. In our consideration of new models of service delivery, the idea of integration is very much to the fore.
After the eight weeks, there would then be the period of appeal. The new measures would shorten the overall period because the first period would be removed.
With great respect, it is the job of the Finance Committee to scrutinise closely what the corporate body spends its money on. The new Presiding Officer has intimated his desire possibly to have a question time and other mechanisms so that members have the opportunity to carry out that scrutiny across the piece.
Real life demands real action, and the proposed new list of adults who are unsuitable to work with children is a considerable improvement to our child protection system.
